Soybean Harvest Advances in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul

The soybean harvest in Mato Grosso is approaching 75% complete according to the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), which represents an advance of 14% in one week. The most advanced harvest pace is in the north-central region where 88% of the crop has been harvested and it is the slowest in the northeast region where 44% of the crop has been harvested. The harvest pace in Mato Grosso is 5% slower than last year at this time.
According to the Geographic Information System for Agribusiness in Mato Grosso do Sul (SIGA-MS), the soybean harvest in Mato Grosso do Sul is nearly complete with 97% of the crop harvested.
The safrinhacorn planting is both states is also advanced with 98% of the safrinhacorn planted in Mato Grosso and 83% of the safrinhacorn planted in Mato Grosso do Sul. Parana is the second largest safrinhacorn producing state and 70% of the corn in the state has been planted.
