Author: Michael Cordonnier/Soybean & Corn Advisor, Inc.

Rainfall last week was focused on Cordoba, southern Santa Fe, Entre Rios, and northern Buenos Aires. Over the weekend, there was additional rainfall in north-central and eastern Argentina. Rainfall this week should favor northern locations with temperatures remaining above normal.

The soybean estimate in Argentina was lowered 1.0 million tons this week to 48.0 million due to irregular rainfall, high temperatures and a continued decline in the soybean condition.

Soybeans in Argentina were rated 36% poor/very poor, 49% fair, and 15% good/excellent as of late last week. The good/excellent percentage is down 2% from the prior week. Soil moisture for soybeans is rated 38% short/very short and 62% favorable/optimum. The favorable/optimum percentage is down 2% from the prior week. Below is the soybean rating in Argentina for February 12, 2025 from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange.
