Inpasa Announces New Biorefinery in Rondonopolis

Inpasa, the largest biorefinery of grain ethanol in Latin America, announced new investments in Mato Grosso totaling R$ 3.48 billion. The package includes a new facility in the city of Rondonopolis and the expansion of the biorefinery facility in the city of Nova Mutum.
The new unit in Rondonopolis will receive R$ 2.77 billion; the expansion of Nova Mutum, another R$ 704 million. The new unit, located in the southeast of Mato Grosso, will be the 10th unit of the company and the 3rd in the state.
The biorefinery in Rondonopolis will have annual capacity to process 2 million tons of grain, resulting in the production of 1 billion liters of ethanol, 490 thousand tons of DDGs, 47 thousand tons of vegetable oil, and 345 thousand GWh of electric energy. The inauguration is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
In Nova Mutum, the expansion will add 1 million tons of grain to the annual capacity, totaling 3 million tons and is expected to be completed at the end of 2026.
Founded in 2006, Inpasa started its activities in Paraguay and today has seven units in operation in Paraguay and Brazil - in the states of Mato Grosso (Sinop and Nova Mutum), Mato Grosso do Sul (Dourados and Sidrolândia) and Maranhão (Balsas), in addition to two plants under construction: Luís Eduardo Magalhães (BA), with inauguration forecast in the first quarter of 2026, and Rio Verde (GO), announced in October of this year.
