Rainfall over the weekend in Brazil once again favored the northern locations with generally dry conditions in south central areas. Heaviest amounts were in Mato Grosso, Goias, and Minas Gerais. Rainfall this week is expected to favor northern areas with limited amounts in south central Brazil.

Brazil soybeans were 61% harvested as of late last week compared to 70% last year according to AgRural. This represents an advance of 10% for the week. The soybean harvest is being slowed by wet weather in northern Brazil and yields are being hurt by dry weather in Rio Grande do Sul. Brazil's soybean estimate was left unchanged this week at 178.0 million tons, but the estimate could move slightly lower depending on the outcome in Rio Grande do Sul.

Mato Grosso - The soybean harvest in Mato Grosso was 96.4% as of last Friday compared to 97.3% last year and 90.6% average according to the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea). This represents an advance of 7.2% for the week. The slowest harvest pace is in the southeastern part of the state where the soybeans are 90% harvested.

Below is the soybean harvest pace in Mato Grosso for March 13, 2026 from Imea.
