Conab Increases Brazil Crop Estimates in July Report

In their July Crop Report, Conab increased the 2025/26 Brazil soybean estimate 0.31 million tons to 180.56 million and they increased the 2025/26 Brazil corn estimate 1.26 million tons to 141.72 million.
Brazil's 2025/26 soybean acreage was increased slightly to 48.64 million hectares (120.1 million acres), which is up 2.7% compared to last year. The nationwide soybean yield is 3,712 kg/ha (55.3 bu/ac) which is up 2.5% compared to last year. Soybean production of 180.56 million tons represents an increase of 9.08 million or 5.3% compared to last year.
Corn production of 141.72 million tons represents a decline of 0.57 million or 0.4% compared to 2024/25. Brazil's 2025/26 first corn crop acreage is 4.14 million hectares (10.2 million acres) which is up 0.8% compared to last year. The first crop corn yield is 7,149 kg/ha (113.6 bu/ac) with a production of 29.60 million tons, up 18.7% compared to last year.
Brazil's 2025/26 safrinha corn acreage is 17.79 million hectares (43.9 million acres) which is up 2.1% compared to last year. The safrinha corn yield is 6,148 kg/ha (97.7 bu/ac) down 5.5 bushels from 2024/25. Brazil's 2025/26 safrinha corn production is estimated at 109.43 million tons down 3.79 million from last year or 3.4%.
The third corn crop in Brazil is estimated at 2.69 million tons.
Brazil's safrinha crop represents 77.7% of Brazil's total corn production with the first corn crop at 21.0% and the third crop at 1.9%.
