Imea Increases Mato Grosso's Statewide Corn Yield to 122.6 bu/ac

After the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economic (Imea) surveyed 833 safrinha corn fields across major producing regions of the state, they increased their estimate of the statewide safrinha corn yield by 6.9% from last month to 128.6 sacks per hectare (122.6 bu/ac).
Corn yields in the state are now 1.07% higher than last year. Corn production in Mato Grosso is estimated at 57.06 million tons, which represents 40.2% of Brazil's total 2025/26 corn production. The safrinha corn acreage in Mato Grosso was left unchanged from a month earlier at 7.39 million hectares (18.2 million acres).

Corn yields in Mato Grosso range from a low of 119.93 sacks per hectare (114.4 bu/ac) in Zone 7 in southeastern Mato Grosso to a high of 135.19 sacks per hectare (128.9 bu/ac) in Zone 4 in central Mato Grosso.
